Suarez: Villarreal have reached a deal to sign Argentine midfielder Leo Suarez from Boca Juniors. The 18-year-old, who had been linked with a move to Valencia, will pen a five-year contract with Villarreal, pending a successful medical.

Coyle: Owen Coyle is the new head coach of Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo. The former Burnley and Bolton manager admitted it was “nice to be wanted” after securing his first coaching job in a year. He left his post as Wigan manager in December 2013 after three defeats in a week left the Latics 14th in the Championship table.

Daprela: Fabio Daprela, the Palermo wing-back, will be out of action for at least a month following emergency surgery for appendicitis. The Swiss player went under the knife late Tuesday. Daprela, 23, is the second Palermo player to have an operation for appendicitis this season following Enzo Maresca in September.

Konchesky: Leicester full-back Paul Konchesky’s red card against Aston Villa on Sunday has been rescinded. The 33-year-old was dismissed by referee Craig Pawson following a clash with Villa defender Alan Hutton in the Foxes’ 2-1 defeat at Villa Park. A FA statement read: “Leicester City’s Paul Konchesky, who was dismissed for violent conduct in the game against Aston Villa on December 7, 2014 will not serve a suspension after a claim of wrongful dismissal was upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.”

Celtic: Captain Scott Brown and winger James Forrest have been left out of the Celtic squad for the final Europa League Group D game against Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia tonight. The Hoops have already qualified for the knock-out stages and Brown is one booking away from a suspension while Forrest is still coming back to full fitness after injury.

Kone: Everton striker Arouna Kone will play for the first time in over a year when the Premier League club host FC Krasnodar in the Europa League today, manager Roberto Martinez said. Everton have already qualified for the last 32 as group winners so the Spaniard is using their final group game against the Russian side to rotate his squad. He told reporters that Kone would start the match to make his first appearance since injuring his knee in a 2-1 win over Hull City in October last year.
