Fellaini: Napoli have confirmed their interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini. Fellaini has only been at United for a year, but his future is in doubt following the arrival of Ander Herrera. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis said he is ready to offer the Belgium international a way out of the Premier League club.

Valencia: Valencia have announced the signing of promising goalkeeper Yoel Rodriguez on loan from fellow Primera Division side Celta Vigo, subject to a medical. In a statement on their website, the club explained they would sign the 25-year-old on a permanent basis at the end of the coming season, on a three-year contract.

Mellberg: Former Sweden defender Olof Mellberg announ-ced his retirement yesterday in a statement via his final club FC Copenhagen. The well-travelled 36-year-old represented AIK Stockholm, Aston Villa, Racing Santander, Juventus, Olympiakos and Villarreal before joining Copenhagen a year ago.

Ivory Coast: Frenchman Herve Renard, who led Zambia to the African Nations Cup title in 2012, was yesterday named as Ivory Coast coach. He takes over from Sabri Lamouchi, whose contract was not renewed after the Ivorians failed to get past the first round at the World Cup in Brazil last month.

Ludogorets: Bulgarian champions Ludogorets parted company with coach Stoycho Stoev yesterday, a day after their home goalless draw against Partizan Belgrade in the first leg of their Champions League third qualifying round tie. Ludogorets have failed to win in their last four matches.

Marseille: Marseille have reached an agreement to renew their tenancy at the Stade Velodrome, following a dispute over rent payments. The compromise deal will see OM pay €3m for the coming season and €4m for each of the following two.
