Advocaat: Dutchman Dick Advocaat will take over as Serbia coach to lead the team’s bid to qualify for the 2016 European Championship, the Balkan country’s Football Association (FSS) president Tomislav Karadzic told Reuters. “The agreement we have reached with Advocaat is a result of month-long negotiations and we will officially unveil him as the new coach in the next few days,” Karadzic said.

Wisdom: Andre Wisdom has become West Brom’s sixth signing of the summer courtesy of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers singing the defender’s praises. England U-21 Wisdom has joined new head coach Alan Irvine’s side on a season-long loan from Anfield. Wisdom scored on his Liverpool debut in a 5-3 Europa League win over Swiss side Young Boys in September 2012, going on to make a further 18 appearances that season.

Punished: Paris St Germain must close two sections of the Parc des Princes stadium for their next European home game after their supporters threatened and insulted disabled Chelsea fans during a match. UEFA ordered the closure of sections 104 and 105 of the stadium following the incidents at the Champions League quarter-final game on April 2.

Bojan: Stoke have announced the signing of Spanish striker Bojan Krkic from Barcelona on a four-year deal. The 23-year-old, who broke into the Barca first team in 2007 but struggled to make an impression after re-signing following two years at Roma, moves to the Britannia Stadium for an undisclosed fee.

Campana: Jose Campana has joined Sampdoria from Crystal Palace. The London club confirmed yesterday that the former Spain U-21 midfielder had travelled out to Italy at the weekend and that the final paperwork on the move had now been completed. The Eagles signed him from Sevilla last summer.
