Everton: Premier League Everton signed a three-year extension to their shirt sponsorship with Thai beer brand Chang yesterday in a deal the club said could be the most lucrative in their 136-year history. The partnership, which started in 2004, is already the longest-running shirt sponsorship in the league. Everton said the latest agreement was potentially worth more than £16 million.

Jese: Real Madrid forward Jese has undergone “satisfactory” surgery on the knee ligament injury that has brought a premature end to his breakthrough season at the Bernabeu. The 21-year-old tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee early in Madrid’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Schalke on Tuesday. Jese travelled to Augsburg in Germany on Wednesday to undergo surgery at the clinic of knee specialist Dr Ulrich Boenisch.

Bosnia: Adidas will supply the kit for debutants Bosnia at the World Cup this year, the German sportswear company said yesterday, meaning it will sponsor nine of the 32 teams in the tournament. Bosnia will wear the new kit for the first time in a friendly against Mexico in Chicago on June 3.

Boyd: Hull forward George Boyd will serve a three-match suspension after the Football Association rejected his appeal against a charge of spitting at Manchester City’s Joe Hart. The incident with the England goalkeeper, which was not seen by the match officials but showed up on TV replays, occurred in the second half of Saturday’s match at the KC Stadium, which City won 2-0.

Magath: Fulham manager Felix Magath has been using a Boris Bike to commute to the club’s Motspur Park training ground. A picture of Magath cycling in London wearing a tracksuit top, jeans and trainers was circulated on social media on Monday. The German has confirmed it was him, explaining that occasionally he uses the bike rental system to complete the 14-mile round trip to work. “At the moment I’m without a car and I have to move. From the hotel to here is too far to go, so I take a bicycle,” he said.
