Molinaro: Stuttgart defender Cristian Molinaro joined Serie A club Parma yesterday after dropping down the pecking order at the former Bundesliga champions, the German side said. Molinaro, a former Italy international, joined Stuttgart in 2010 from Juventus and played 93 league games. But he has been overlooked since the arrival of coach Thomas Schneider.

Scottish FA: The Scottish FA has announced a new multi-million pound, four-season deal with Sky Sports. The agreement allows Sky Sports live rights to the William Hill Scottish Cup, exclusive live rights to Scotland home international challenge matches and rights to cover the Youth Cup until the end of the 2017/18 season in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Mexico: Young striker Alan Pulido marked his international debut with a hat-trick as Mexico overcame past poor finishing woes with a crushing 4-0 win over South Korea in a World Cup warm-up in Texas on Wednesday. Oribe Peralta put the Mexicans ahead in the 37th minute of the friendly at the Alamodrome. The 22-year-old Pulido got off the mark on the stroke of half-time touching the ball home in a goal-mouth melee. He added two goals in the final four minutes in counter-attacks for Mexico.

Luis: Atletico Madrid have suffered an injury setback at a crucial moment in the season after it was confirmed yesterday their Brazil fullback Filipe Luis had torn an adductor muscle in his right leg. The 28-year-old, who has been a key performer in Diego Simeone‘s side, sustained the injury in the first half of Wednesday’s King’s Cup quarter-final, second leg victory at Athletic Bilbao and had to be replaced by Emiliano Insua.
