Khlifa: Marseille have confirmed the signing of Tunisia striker Saber Khlifa, subject to a medical. The 26-year-old will move from Evian in a reported 2.5-million euro deal.

Ivanov: Bulgarian defender Ivan Ivanov has joined Swiss champions Basel from Partizan Belgrade. “I am very happy to join Basel, it’s a step forward in my career,” Ivanov, who signed a three-year contract, said. The deal includes an option for one more year.

Cassani: Parma have signed full-back Mattia Cassani on loan from Fiorentina. The 29-year-old, who only managed five league appear-ances during a six-month loan spell with Genoa earlier this year, will hope to earn a starting berth at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Gervinho: Arsenal yesterday confirmed the sale of Ivory Coast forward Gervinho to Roma. The 26-year-old found first-team football hard to come by last season and was limited to mostly appearing from the bench for the Gunners. Manager Arsene Wenger signed Gervinho from Lille in 2011 but he was only able to find the back of the net on four occasions in his first campaign at the Emirates Stadium and added seven last term.

Postiga: Valencia have signed Portugal striker Helder Postiga from relegated Real Zaragoza on a two-year contract. The former Porto, Sporting and Tottenham Hotspur player passed a medical and will be expected to help fill the gap left by last season’s top scorer Roberto Soldado who has signed for Spurs.
