Goetze: Midfielder Mario Goetze trained with his new Bayern Munich team-mates for the first time yesterday following a muscle injury that had kept him out of action since late last season. The 21-year-old Germany international, poached from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund for €37 million in a high-profile transfer, had missed the end of last season including Dortmund’s Champions League final defeat by Bayern.

Galloppa: Parma midfielder Daniele Galloppa has suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage for the second time in a year. The 28-year-old missed four months of the 2012-13 Serie A season after damaging a ligament in his left knee last October and, following his early withdrawal from a midweek friendly victory over Marseille, Parma medical staff have yesterday confirmed a similar injury to his right knee.

Diabate: Bordeaux striker Cheick Diabate has signed a one-year extension to his contract, the club have confirmed. The 25-year-old has been with the club since 2007 and firmly established himself as a key man last season, with 18 goals in all competitions. Diabate came through the club’s youth system and had spells on loan with Ajaccio in 2008-09, scoring 14 goals in Ligue 2, and less productively with Nancy.

Can: Germany U-21 international midfielder Emre Can has joined Bayer Leverkusen in a four-year deal from Bayern Munich, who have secured themselves first refusal on his services in future. The 19-year-old, who appeared four times for the record German champions last season, scoring once, has made the move for an undisclosed fee.

Monaco: Spain U-19 international Borja Lopez has joined Monaco from Sporting Gijon. The centre-back has signed a four-year deal with the newly promoted Ligue 1 side after Sporting accepted a reported €2.2million bid and was presented at the club yesterday.
