Mourinho: Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is certain he will manage again in England once his time at the Bernabeu comes to an end. The Portuguese, who won two Premier League titles with Chelsea in 2005 and 2006, said it did not matter which Premier League club he would return to despite his affection for the Blues. “I cannot deny what is clear in my mind. After Real Madrid, England. That is for sure,” the former Porto and Inter coach told reporters yesterday.

Dawson: QPR manager Mark Hughes has revealed the club could make another move for Tottenham defender Michael Dawson in January. The Hoops tried to sign Dawson in summer but the proposed switch broke down over personal terms. “Maybe Michael’s situation happened too quickly for him to understand what his future is at Spurs,” Hughes said. “In January that might be different if he is still out of the team.”

Lazio: Lazio will face disciplinary proceedings after their fans were accused of racist behaviour during the Europa League clash at Tottenham, UEFA said. Monkey chants were aimed at three of Tottenham’s black players, Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend during the game at White Hart Lane which ended in a 0-0 draw. “UEFA has begun disciplinary proceedings against Lazio for ‘improper conduct’ by the club’s supporters,” said a UEFA statement.

Guti: Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has announced his retirement from football. The 35-year-old, who made almost 400 first-team appearances in almost 25 years at the Bernabeu, has been without a club since leaving Besiktas in November. He said: “I have received offers but I’ve decided to stop. I can now spend more time with my family. I’d really like to coach the Real Madrid youth team. That’s my dream.”

Mbokani: The agent of Dieumerci Mbokani is saying Juventus could be the next destination for the An-derlecht forward. Fabio Baglio said Juve are heading the list despite interest from other clubs in England. “Of all the clubs who have been following him, Juventus are the nearest,” he said. The 26-year-old could join the Serie A champs as early as January but Baglia said it all depends on Anderlecht.

BOV Division Three: Sirens vs Senglea 0-4; Marsaskala vs Ta’ Xbiex 6-0.
