MAKELELE: Former Real Madrid and Chelsea player Claude Makelele was acquitted by a French court yesterday on charges of hitting his former girlfriend. TOTTI: Francesco Totti could be a doubt for Roma’s home fixture against Bologna at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday after suffering an ankle knock in training. Roma said Totti, who inspired his side to a 3-1 away win over Inter two weeks ago, “withdrew from training early after bruising his ankle”.

INIESTA: Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta will be out for between 10 days and two weeks after suffering an adductor injury. CHELSEA: John Terry and Ashley Cole returned to training yesterday as the duo continued their bid to recover from injury for Chelsea’s trip to QPR tomorrow.
