Masi: Juventus have completed the permanent signing of promising defender Alberto Masi. The 19-year-old moved to the Serie A champions on a co-ownership deal with Pro Vercelli on July 6. But, after impressing throughout pre-season, Juve have opted to secure the Italy Under-21 international’s services outright.

Azpilicueta: Cesar Azpilicueta has not been included in Marseille’s squad for tonight’s Europa League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol, fuelling speculation the right-back is on the brink of a move to Chelsea. Azpilicueta has been linked with the European champions virtually all year and reports in France have claimed an agreement was reached over a transfer fee this week.

Pato: Milan striker Alexandre Pato has suffered a new injury setback with the start of their Serie A challenge just four days away. “AC Milan can confirm that during training today, Alexandre Pato reported a problem with his left adductor muscle,” a statement said. “There will be further medical examinations to determine the extent of the damage.”

De Rossi: Daniele de Rossi has dashed Manchester City’s hopes of a transfer after the midfielder re-affirmed his commitment to Roma. The 29-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League, with City boss Roberto Mancini a known admirer.
