HOILETT: QPR have won the race to sign free agent Junior Hoilett after agreeing a four-year deal. Hoilett’s contract at Blackburn had expired and the 22-year-old has chosen to continue his career at Loftus Road.

FIORENTINA: Sporting Lisbon announced that they have reached agreement with Fio-rentina over the sale of Chilean international Matias Fernan-dez. Reports say that the 26-year-old former Villarreal player will move to Italy for a fee of around four million euros.

FULHAM: Fulham have been granted permission to expand the capacity of Craven Cottage by 4,300 seats to 30,000. The changes will see a new upper tier added to the Riverside Stand, while planning consent also allows for the partial demolition and rebuilding of the western ends of the Putney and Hammersmith stands.

CAHILL: Australian international Tim Cahill has signed with Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls after a frustrating season in which he scored just two league goals for Everton in the Premier League. Cahill, 32, joins international stars Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez on the Red Bulls roster.
