SEEDORF: Clarence Seedorf yes-terday confirmed he is leaving Milan for pastures new after 10 years at the club. Other veterans such as Filippo Inzaghi, Alessandro Nesta, Gianluca Zambrotta, Gennaro Gattuso and Mark van Bommel, had already announced their departures this summer. The 36-year-old Surinam-born Dutchman said he would soon reveal his next destination. “I’ll do it soon but I’m taking my time,” Seedorf said.

GREEN: Goalkeeper Robert Green is to leave West Ham and sign a two-year deal with QPR. Green, who has 12 caps and is part of the England squad competing at Euro 2012, will arrive at Loftus Road on July 1 when his contract with West Ham expires. The 32-year-old has made 480 club appearances during a 13-year professional career that started at Norwich.

SHENGELIA: Former Georgian striker Ramaz Shengelia, famed for the goals he scored for the Soviet Union and Dinamo Tbilisi, died yesterday aged 55. Shengelia en-joyed his peak at Dinamo Tbilisi, where he won the Soviet Supreme League in 1978 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1981.

HEARTS: Raith Rovers have granted Hearts permission to speak to their manager John McGlynn. The Jambos are on the lookout for a new boss after Paulo Sergio con-firmed earlier this month he was leaving the Tynecastle club after rejecting a new contract. McGlynn was previously a coach at Hearts and served as caretaker manager on two occasions.

SURMAN: Norwich have confirmed midfielder Andrew Surman has signed a new three-year contract. The 25-year-old, who joined from Wolves in June 2010, is now tied to Norwich until 2015.

COVENTRY: Coventry have had their transfer embargo lifted by the Football League who have now signed off the club’s accounts. The Sky Blues were placed under a temporary embargo in March after failing to file their accounts on time and have subsequently missed out on several transfer targets.
