OLIC: Croatia striker Ivica Olic will switch from Bayern Munich to rivals Wolfsburg next season. Olic, 32, lost his place in Bayern’s first-team after a series of injuries and while he is set to figure for Croatia at Euro 2012, he has scored just two goals this season in 19 league appearances, 16 of which were off the bench.

JAILED: Two men were jailed for five years each yesterday after being convicted of sending a parcel bomb to Celtic manager Neil Lennon. Trevor Muirhead, 44, and Neil McKenzie, 42, were found guilty of conspiring to assault Lennon, former Scottish lawmaker Trish Godman and high-profile lawyer Paul McBride by sending them home-made liquid-based explosive devices.

RANGERS: A consortium led by former Rangers director Paul Murray lodged a formal bid for the stricken Glasgow club yesterday, subject to approval from creditors. The Blue Knights consortium and Brian Kennedy, owner of English rugby’s Sale Sharks, have joined forces to table a “substantial” bid for the club, which went into admini-stration earlier this season.

BANNED: The two presidents of Palermo and Lazio, Maurizio Zamparini and Claudio Lotito, have been handed lengthy bans by the FIGC for breaching rules on transfers. Zamparini was found guilty of irregularities in the sale of Javier Pastore to Paris SG and suspended for 12 months. Lotito has been handed a 10-month ban for unauthorised actions during the 2009 dealings of Julio Cruz and Mauro Zarate.

DUNNE: Aston Villa defender Ric-hard Dunne is available, after two-and-a-half-months out of action with a broken collarbone, for today’s Premier League clash at West Brom. Dunne suffered the setback against his former club, Manchester City, in early February.
