Kagawa: Borussia Dortmund’s Japan star Shinji Kagawa is set to stay with the club despite persistent reports of interest from Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea, German daily Sports Bild said. Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke was quoted as saying: “I am convinced Shinji will stay with us and extend his contract.”
Poland: Poland coach Franciszek Smuda has dropped Slawomir Peszko and Marcin Wasilewski from his Euro 2012 squad, media reported, citing heavy partying in Germany over the weekend. Cologne midfielder Peszko and Anderlecht defender Wasilewski got drunk and quarrelled with a taxi driver who drove to a police station.
