England: England will play Norway and Belgium in their final two friendly internationals before Euro 2012. Fabio Capello’s side play Norway in Oslo on Saturday, May 26 and seven days later, on June 2, welcome Belgium to Wembley. England will then travel to their Polish tournament base of Krakow, before their Euro 2012 campaign opens against France in Donetsk, Ukraine, on June 11.

Colback: Sunderland midfielder Jack Colback has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him with the north-east side until June 2014. The 22-year-old has played in 20 of the club’s 21 games so far this season and scored his first senior goal in the 1-1 Premier League draw with Everton on Boxing Day. He has recently been playing at left-back because of a defensive injury crisis at the Stadium of Light.

Reyes: Spanish forward Jose Antonio Reyes yesterday signed for Sevilla from their La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid until 2015. The 28-year-old returns to the club where he started his career in 1999. He left in 2004 and has since played for Arsenal, Real Madrid, Benfica and Atletico Madrid, winning a Premier League title at Arsenal and the Spanish league with Madrid.

BELHADJ: Former Portsmouth footballer Nadir Belhadj is being investigated for bigamy following a complaint made by a woman claiming to be his wife. The woman made the complaint in December after discovering that Belhadj had married another woman at the French embassy in Qatar in June last year. The woman said she married Belhadj in 2009 in Oran, Algeria and gave birth to his child in June 2011.

Rangers: Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch is to serve a two-match ban with immediate effect after losing his appeal against a red card for violent conduct. McCulloch will now miss Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie against Arbroath and next week’s Premier League match with St Johnstone. He was sent off after a clash with Graham Carey in champions Rangers’ shock 2-1 league defeat by St Mirren on Christmas Eve.

Xhaka: Hamburg have tabled a €7 million bid for FC Basel’s midfielder Granit Xhaka. The offer has been rejected by the Swiss champions, who are due to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
