Fanchone: Udinese have completed the signing of free agent Jean-Alain Fanchone. Fanchone, 23, had been training with the club after his release by Strasbourg and has now agreed a five-year deal with the Serie A side. The left-back played 59 times for Strasbourg before joining Ligue 1 side Arles-Avignon on loan, where he made another 21 appearances.

Pugh: Leeds have signed Danny Pugh from Stoke City for an un-disclosed fee. The 29-year-old has been on loan from the Potters this season, impressing enough to convince manager Simon Grayson to make the deal permanent. Pugh originally signed for Leeds in 2004 from Manchester United.

Hertha: Hertha Berlin have reached an agreement with Turkish club Eskisehirspor for the long-time assistant of Michael Skibbe, Edwin Boekamp, to join him at the Bundesliga club. Skibbe took over as coach of Hertha just before Christmas. A fee was agreed between Berlin and Eskisehirspor for Skibbe’s release, but the two clubs have only now reached an agreement for Boekamp to follow Skibbe to the German capital.

Brunt: West Brom skipper Chris Brunt is to undergo a second scan to determine the extent of the ankle problem suffered against Everton at the Hawthorns on Sunday. Brunt pulled up sharply during the latter stages of the Baggies’ 1-0 defeat and had to be substituted.

Kone: Ivorian striker Koro Kone signed for Ligue 1 strugglers Dijon from Slovak side Spartak Trnava. The 22-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Dijon, who are fifth from bottom of the table but just one point above the relegation places.

Wolfsburg: Wolfsburg have completed their second and third signings this winter with the arrivals of midfielder Slobodan Medojevic and forward Ferhan Hasani. Medojevic arrives from Vojvodina Novi Sad while Hasani joins from S. Tetovo of Macedonia.
