No pardon: FIFA security chief Chris Eaton warned yesterday that there will be no amnesty if Zimbabwe fooballers and officials are found guilty in an ongoing probe into alleged match-fixing on a tour of Asia. “We have got zero-tolerance on match-fixing and we have to understand that this is now a big problem facing the sport,” Eaton said, dismissing reports that anyone found guilty would be pardoned and sent for rehabilitation instead of being banned.

Nabbed: The president of the Romanian Referees Commission was arrested overnight Saturday on suspicion of taking bribes from a sponsor of a First Division club. Vasile Avram is accused of receiving €19,000 from businessman Florin Terbea, who sponsors FCM Targu Mures, in exchange for designating referees favourable to the club.

Bradley: Bob Bradley finally put pen to paper on a deal to coach the Egyptian national side during the weekend. The 53-year-old Amer-ican agreed a deal that could extend until the World Cup in 2014.

Sheridan: St Johnstone striker Cillian Sheridan scored twice to give his side a 2-0 win over Hearts in the Scottish Premier League yesterday. Sheridan’s first two goals of the season moved St Johnstone into fifth place, level on points with Hearts.
