Martin: France midfielder Marvin Martin signed a fresh one year deal with Sochaux yesterday linking him to the club until 2015. “I am very happy to re-sign, Sochaux after all is the club where I started. We had good talks, we reached an agreement and they (the club’s board) made an offer,” said Martin.

Tamas: West Brom’s Romanian defender Gabriel Tamas was yesterday charged with violent conduct following an incident in Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League win at Norwich. The 27-year-old finds himself in the FA dock after clashing with Norwich’s James Vaughan in stoppage time at Carrow Road. Tamas floored Vaughan with an elbow to the face.

Arsenal: Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky have both been ruled out of Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund tonight. Ramsey limped out of training yesterday with an ankle complaint and has not been included in the 18-man squad along with Rosicky, who is struggling with a knee injury.

Charged: A man appeared in court yesterday charged with killing a Wales football fan who suffered fatal head injuries outside Wembley Stadium. Ian Mytton was not required to enter a plea to the charge of manslaughter of Michael Dye before being remanded in custody by magistrates in Worcestershire. Dye died from blunt force trauma to the back of his head following an incident which occurred before England’s Euro 2012 qualifier with Wales last Tuesday.
