Maloney: Wigan completed the signing of Scotland forward Shaun Maloney from Celtic on an initial two-year deal. The 28-year-old’s deal includes the option for an additional third year.

Kjaer: Roma have signed Simon Kjaer on loan from Wolfsburg. The 22-year-old centre-back under-went a medical last week but his move was only finalised hours before the end of the transfer window. Roma also completed the deadline day signing of Bosnia midfielder Miralem Pjanic from Lyon yesterday.

Elliot: Charlton keeper Rob Elliot completed his move to Newcastle for an undisclosed fee. The 25-year-old has signed a five-year deal and will provide the back-up to number one Tim Krul and deputy Steve Harper.

Royer: Hannover have confirmed the signing of Austria international Daniel Royer from SV Ried for an undisclosed fee. The midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

Bradley: Chievo signed US midfielder Michael Bradley from Borussia M’gladbach. Bradley, 24, becomes the third US player ever in Serie A after Padova’s Alexi Lalas and Oguchi Onyewu of Milan.

Pereyra: Udinese have signed Uruguay international Maximiliano Pereyra on a permanent transfer from River Plate. The 27-year-old right-back has penned a five-year deal with the Serie A club.

Rivas: Inter have released Colombian defender Nelson Rivas. The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Sion: UEFA will decide tomorrow whether Celtic should be reinstated in the Europa League at the expense of Sion. UEFA yesterday confirmed their control and disciplinary body would meet in the afternoon to “deal with the two protests lodged by Celtic FC”.

Oddo: Veteran full-back Massimo Oddo has joined Lecce from Milan on a season-long loan. The 35-year-old has played little for Milan since being part of the Champions League winning team of 2007 having joined the club that January.
