A special documentation was issued by the headmaster’s office at the Victoria Lyceum on April 3, 1967. It was signed by the headmaster, Lawrence A. Farrugia.

It is special because my brother, Mario, who had a paralysed right hand, was accepted for a two-year course in carpentry. The course was held between  November 30, 1964 and July 27, 1966 at the government industrial training centre in Gozo.

In 1964, compulsory education was until the age of 14 and my brother followed the carpentry course when he was aged 15 to 17 years.

Merits for the carpentry course goes to Salvinu Xuereb who was headmaster from 1962 to 1966.
