The annual software coding competition organised by the ICT Students Association at the University of Malta is back under a new name: Game of Codes.

This year’s edition will be held between Friday, November 29 and Sunday, December 1 and in just 48 hours participants have to face a coding challenge and provide a working solution that best addresses the challenge.

Participants will be split up into teams participating in either of two categories, one for industry and another for students. They can opt to work either from home or at the Microsoft Innovation Centre in SkyParks. Teams have to register on the competition website and pay the participation fee of €20 by November 28.

The winners of last year’s competition were Dru’s Delirium and Other Coding Antics, composed of Andrew Said, who topped the students’ section, and a team of developers from GFI Software consisting of Karl Fenech and Leon Cassar who came first in the industry section.
