I am in complete agreement with Mark Mifsud Bonnici about the Sliema residents’ parking scheme. I am completely against it and I would like to know on what basis the Sliema council decided to introduce it, since I do not recall it was on the agenda when we voted for this council.

True, often, when I get home I spend about 15 minutes trying to find a parking place but, finally, I do find one somewhere.

I would like to have answers to the following questions:

1. If I invite my children for lunch, have they got to leave after two hours and return an hour later for dessert and coffee?

2. What about all those other people who come into town, especially in summer? Are they to leave after two hours?

3. Is Sliema owned by Sliema residents or does it belong to all Maltese people, as, in fact, all Malta should?

4. What is the opinion of the Labour councillors for Sliema? Do they believe in Sliema for Slimiżi only or do they preach Malta Tagħna Lkoll in this case too?

This is a discriminatory scheme.

I do not consider myself to be anybody special.
