The latest swimmer to enter the Maltese junior records scene is Jeremy Bugeja, of Sirens ASC.

Competing in the third ASA meeting, sponsored by Klikk, on Saturday the young swimmer, coached by Davina Mangion and Daniela Deguara, managed to improve the Group B marks.

He swam the 50 and 100 metres free in 26.93 and 59.53 seconds respectively to improve on the times set by Neil Muscat – 27.32 and 59.88 – in Berlin in December 2011.

This addition to the national records list promises to be another threshold along the road of progress of Malta’s young swimmers, one which sets incentives for promising talent to reach higher levels.
