Malta’s singing nuns and former Eurovision entrant Gianluca Bezzina are among the finalists for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest.

The six nuns, who made headlines recently for participating in the kitsch contest, have qualified for the local final with their song Love and Let Go.

Gianluca Bezzina, who placed eighth in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with his song Tomorrow, is this time joined by his sisters singing Beautiful to Me.

The local final will be held in November and the winner will represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna next year.

The 20 finalists are: Breakaway – Glen Vella; Chasing a Dream – Trilogy; Still Here – Franklin Calleja; It’s OK – Deborah C; 12 Baker Street – Karen Debattista; Love and Let Go – Srs Michaela, Monica, Rita, Claudia, Denise, Magdalene; Something in the Way – Daniel Testa; The One That You Love – Lawrence Gray; Love Warrior – Amber; Fandango – Jessika; Rush – Christabelle; Closed Doors – Chris Grech; Stop Haunting Me – Raquel Galdes; Beautiful to Me – L-Aħwa/Bezzina siblings; Close Your Eyes – Danica Muscat; Home – Lyndsay Pace; Secretly – Corazon Mizzi; Could Have Been Me – Iona Dalli; Take Me as I Am – Domenique Azzopardi; Once in a While – Minik.
