Three classic fairytale characters come together for the panto Sindyrella u l-Bestja being staged at the Catholic Institute, in Floriana.

Sindyrella somehow ends up in a palace owned by the Beast. Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty show up as will also a Christmas crib figurine, or pastur in Maltese, speaking about “rivers of love”.

Produced by drama company Teatru Rjal, the story of Sindyrella is narrated by fairy Tinker Bell, with Toni Busuttil as the infamous panto Dame, who is also Sindyrella’s mother, Condita.

The cast includes Ina Robinich, Brian Farrugia, Simon Curmi, Jeffrey Scicluna, Neville Refalo, Julie Pomorski and Laura Bruno, among others.

The script is by Brian Farrugia and Ray Abdilla directs. The panto is produced by Pawlu Testa.

There will be a performance on Saturday at 7pm, on Sunday at 2 and 6.30pm and on Monday at 7.30pm. Other shows will be presented on January 2 at 7.30pm, January 3 at 7pm and January 4 at 6pm.
