Seven Premier League players were yesterday handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner.

Valletta will be without goalkeeper Andrew Hogg for Saturday’s clash with Balzan after the City no.1 was dismissed in the dying stages of his team’s 3-2 win over Hibs.

Josef Mifsud will miss Sliema’s clash against Hibs, on Sunday, after the defender picked up his fourth booking in the 3-1 defeat to Floriana last weekend.

Qormi’s Luke Sciberras and Jonathan Xerri, the Marsaxlokk defender, will miss their teams’ direct clash on Saturday after both saw red against Mosta and Tarxien respectively.

Marsaxlokk team manager Cedric Baldacchino was given a two-match touchline ban.

Serbian midfielder Predrag Mirceta will skip Mosta’s clash with Ħamrun on Monday after being cautioned for a fourth time against Qormi.

Mqabba’s Branislav Timotic and Tarxien’s Orosco Anonam have been ruled out of their teams’ vital encounter on Monday after both collected their fourth yellow card.
