A man who allegedly punched his wife in the face just minutes after leaving the court house following messy separation proceedings was yesterday remanded in custody.

Stephen Spiteri, 39, from Valletta, pleaded not guilty to punching his wife and threatening her lawyer Christian Grima on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Magistrate Neville Camilleri remanded him in custody.

Lawyer José Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for Mr Spiteri.
