Senglea Athletics marked their promotion to Division Two with a 3-0 win over Għaxaq at the Luxol Stadium on Sunday. Senglea, coached by Dennis Fenech, finished their campaign on 71 points, five ahead of Mdina Knights who will also play in a higher category next season along with Marsaskala and Marsa. Hot-shot Timothy Thomas was again on the mark against Għaxaq with the other two goals coming from his brother Trevor. Senglea’s success completed a remarkable achievement for the teams from the Three Cities. In fact, Vittoriosa Stars will be playing in the Premier League next season and St George’s in Division One after finishing high in their respective championships.
