Transport Malta has said it will not publish its contract with Paola Estates Ltd, a firm belonging to the General Workers’ Union. It did not explain why. What is the reason for such secrecy? Is there something to hide?

With all these scandals floating around, I hope we do not become a country that accepts everything and asks no questions. Unfortunately, too many deals and contracts have been kept secret under this government.

I feel a nostalgia for the days when “shame” was shouted out in Parliament after it emerged that a woman gave a minister a clock worth a few euros. Those were the days!
