Malta became a republic on December 13,1974, an event we celebrate on the anniversary and call Republic Day. If we become a republic again we will have to add a new national holiday to the list and call it Second Republic Day, to celebrate with great pomp and ceremony the day Joseph Muscat transformed our country from a republic to a republic.
