If your Morphy Richards appliance is at least 25 years old and, ideally, still working, you can return it to the importer and get a new one for a discount.

Importers V&F Portelli say testimonials on the internet reveal some consumers are still very fond of their old Morphy Richards items.

They mention a toaster that lasted as long as the marriage, nearly 60 years, and is still going strong.

There was also a 53-year-old hairdryer still in working order.

To mark their 75 years of association with Morphy Richards this year, V&F Portelli have decided to launch a search for Morphy Richards products that are at least 25 years old and ideally, but not necessarily, in good working condition.

Owners of such items can call at V&F Portelli outlet at Mrieħel and, if they are willing to part with their item for a newer version they would be entitled to a discount on a new Morphy Richards item. The offer is open until the end of July.

Mario Portelli, of V&F Portelli, says thousands of Maltese households still use Morphy Richards products bought in the 1980s or even before.
