Seaplane pilots based in the Fermanagh lakelands can now whisk visitors from anywhere in Northern Ireland to the famous Lough Erne waterway after securing a new air licence.
Lakeland Seaplane Tours Ltd, based at St Angelo Airport near Enniskillen, said it believed its new departure will boost the company, plus give a lift to the tourist industry.
It is hoped wedding parties and holiday-makers could be among those tempted by the prospect of arriving at the internationally renowned lakes by seaplane.
Seaplane pilot and owner Stephen Powell said his company had operated around Lough Erne for six years.
But he added that having secured an Air Operators Certificate from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, he can now launch leisure and tourist flights across Northern Ireland.
