The Victoria and Xagħra Scout Groups last Sunday held a parade and Mass to mark Founder’s Day.

The groups met in Xagħra and marched towards the church where Xagħra archpriest Mgr Carmel Refalo celebrated Mass.

The Scouts, together with the District Commissioner for Gozo Lorrie Saliba, reaffirmed their Scout Promise.

Brian Beek, chairman of Brownsea Island Scout Fellowship, was also present.

Brownsea Island was where the first Scout camp was held by Scouts founder Lord Baden-Powell in August 1907.
