The Scout Association of Malta, in collaboration with Aġenzija Żgħażagħ and the Education Ministry, recently launched the Outdoor+ programme at the Għajn Tuffieħa international campsite.

Education Minister Evarist Bartolo, Chris Agius, Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport, Joseph Caruana, permanent secretary within the Education Ministry, Aġenzija Żgħażagħ CEO Miriam Theuma, the association’s chief commissioner Leslie Bonnici and programme coordinator Aldo Sciberras attended.

Sessions are run on a weekly basis. The programme, in line with the scouting methodology, will allow students to obtain skills through a number of non-formal and informal methods within a healthy and outdoors environment and is designed to offer exciting and enriching activities, helping small groups of people to communicate effectively, cooperate and share an unforgettable time based on the scouting experience.

The packages proposed are developed on Unesco’s four pillars of learning: knowing, doing, being and living together.
