The annual Christmas market at San Anton School in Imselliet, l/o Mġarr, is being held on Sunday from 10.30am and 5pm.

The fundraising event promises to be a festive fun day out for the family with a difference.

The final touches are being placed on Santa’s grotto where children will be able to meet the “real” Santa Claus, while children are rehearsing for their respective role in the Live Crib.

A wooden stable has been purposely built for this crib in the school picnic area under a large carob tree. With the support of local farmers this stable will also house live sheep, lambs and of course a donkey on the day itself to transform the area into a typical nativity scene.

Those present will be regaled with a performance by the cast of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Woods, this year’s panto being staged by FM Theatre Productions.
