A council in Portsmouth announced it is to hold a workshop to teach people aged over 60 about “sex in later years”. The session, entitled Generation Sex, is being run by Portsmouth City Council with the aim of encouraging people of all ages to practice safer sex.
Organisers pledge that those who attend will be able to have frank and honest discussions about the realities of sex for the older generation. A council official said: “Discussions of older people and sex are largely absent from our culture. Sex over 60 can be largely seen as a taboo subject.
“As part of this year’s 60+ festival, a free workshop is being run aimed at exploring the realities of sex in the 21st century.”
