Roma have signed Antonio Rudiger on a permanent basis after the German defender impressed during his year on loan at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 23-year-old centre-back, who has made 30 Serie A appearances for Roma, scoring two goals as the Giallorossi finished third in the table last season, leaves Stuttgart for a fee of nine million euros.

A statement published on Roma’s official website last night said Rudiger’s new contract in the Eternal City will expire on June 30, 2020.
