Its popularity as a year-round venue for live music is well-known to anyone who’s been inside its cosy walls to watch Maltese and foreign bands perform. It’s also well-known that every year, Rookies in Buġibba stages a special music marathon in aid of charity, and this year is no different.

Starting on Friday, the first part of the Rookies Charity Music Marathon will run for four consecutive nights, ending on March 19. The second part of the charity event will be held on March 30 and 31, bringing the event’s total duration to six nights during which over 20 of Malta’s top bands and artists will have done their bit for a noble cause, namely to raise funds for the Mission of Mercy, which is the venue’s charity of choice. Entrance on all nights is free, but everyone is encouraged to be generous and support the cause by giving a donation. For more information, look up the event page on Facebook.
