The practice of doing away with access to the roof, all in the name of making money from the penthouse, must be reviewed as this is very dangerous. No more proof is needed.

As always, somebody has to die before something is considered, same as the maintenance of trees all over the island.

Another accident waiting to happen are the walls just past the Santa Venera tunnels on the Msida side. They were built using dubious engineering practices when considering the height in relation to the forces acting from behind the walls and the stone used without any buttresses in the design.

It would be interesting for a competent engineer to calculate the pressures and forces acting on these walls, which, apparently, are only holding together due to gravity and friction with no apparent reinforcement to compensate for any lateral, seismic and other considerations like no maintenance, age, etc.
