Summer is upon us and the karozzin horses still do not have their shelters, water points and cesspits set up. These docile, vulnerable horses are often seen waiting for hours on end in tourist places.

What an upsetting sight for the animal-caring tourists who see their sufferance and relay this when they return to their homeland.

It is also heartbreaking for us locals to be considered as people who accept this situation year after year.

I was one of 8,000 locals who signed the petition to get these necessities in place. The authorities promised this would happen, but unfortunately we are still waiting...
