After attaining an advanced age we tend to become proportionately more pampered and spoilt by the offspring and their families.
This overwhelming attachment stemming from love and devotion becomes clearly evident and noticeable in most, if not all, families especially when the seniors seek protection and rest in a residential home.
Our likes would no doubt find it extremely comforting and stress relieving knowing there is always someone of their own flesh and blood behind them ready, at their beck and call, to lend a helping hand whenever necessary.
Such is the classic and supreme lesson to be learnt by couples contemplating abortion of a dear new arrival. Apart from the sacred right to life, the unborn child is potentially capable, one day, to return the love and devotion of the parents at huge compound interest in a way no other person is capable of doing. One’s offspring will likely adopt the same reciprocal practice and the same attachment to their conceivers for showing them the light of day and the many magnificent and superb wonders of the world around them.
Inversely, imagine the tiny ones whose sacred and dear lives were stolen away and their body butchered and disposed of as unwanted trash and discards. Imagine the way they were cruelly denied the right and blessing to love and be loved – a sacred right which every creation human or animal has to enjoy and bequeath to their young.
If this right continues to be stolen, as it is so often done, the day is not far off when our world will become a lunar landscape denuded of all living creatures – an earth utterly unrecognisable from the beautiful and healthy picture the great Creator must surely have intended it to be.
The high price we all have to pay if respect for and preservation of life continues to be lost is too dramatically terrible and desperate even to contemplate, let alone experience.
The Almighty most certainly deserves all our profound gratitude and appreciation for the perfect and unique design of a world that comes to life and offers tremendous pleasure when the embryonic beginning of life is protected and loved in the same way as the declared image of the Creator Himself.
