Renowned winemaker Kevin Judd, owner of the Greywacke label, will be in Malta this week to hold a wine-tasting event at Philippe Martinet Fine Wines Ltd.

Judd is known to have made Cloudy Bay one of the most sought-after labels. His career is intrinsically linked with the global profile of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

In 2009, Judd established his own label, Greywacke, named after New Zealand’s prolific bedrock. Alongside his professional winemaking, he has developed a parallel career in wine photography.

Among his books is the acclaimed The Colour of Wine, a photographic essay on the vineyards of Marlborough.

Judd is being accompanied by his wife Kimberley, and the wine-tasting event, limited to 45 guests, is being held on Friday and Saturday at 8pm at 239/BB Tower Road, Sliema.
