Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta rates the chances of forward Alvaro Morata staying with the club this summer at 50-50.

The 23-year-old Spain striker remains highly-coveted by several top European clubs after scoring 11 times this season to win his second Serie A title with Juventus.

However, Real Madrid retain a buy-back option as part of the €20 million deal which saw him leave Spain in 2014, and there has been speculation that the La Liga giants could exercise this and then sell him on for a profit.

Marotta, speaking to Sky Sports Italia, said: “We’ll have to meet with Real Madrid, but at the moment they are busy preparing for the final of the Champions League. We’ll talk after the final.

“Will he stay? There is a 50 per cent chance.”

Marotta also denied he would seek to include Real’s Isco in any talks regarding Morata.

“He will not come, we will discuss Alvaro Morata with Real Madrid, but the months ahead are long... very long,” Marotta said.
