Re/Max, Malta’s leading real estate agency, has introduced a number of service packages this year, including property auctions in collaboration with Obelisk Auction House.

Property auctions work in much the same way as antique or fine arts auctions, with a careful vetting process for the properties in question. The Re/Max auctions team ensures that permits are in place and also conducts basic notarial searches beforehand to ensure that the purchase will be a smooth ride for the buyer.

Potential purchasers have the opportunity to view and inspect the properties, better known as lots, for sale.

Assistance will be offered throughout the process by a Re/Max Auctions team member.

“We’re thrilled to have launched this dynamic concept,” says Jeremy Borg Grech, Re/Max’s property auctions manager. “At an auction, the guide prices are just there to guide you. So it does not matter where the bidding starts. The last bidder is the successful bidder.
