This morning, a fleet of boats from the Royal Malta Yacht Club will set sail from Marsamxett harbour in Valletta for the Raymarine round Malta and Gozo race.

Raymarine and RLR have been sponsoring this figure-of-eight, double handed race for 20 years now.

The 85-nautical-mile regatta ranks among the most popular events in the annual calendar of sailing and is keenly awaited for by double-handed racing enthusiasts.

The Royal Malta Yacht Club said the prize-giving ceremony will be held next Wednesday.
