Balzan recorded the biggest win in this season’s FXDD Premier Divi-sion after a mammoth 17-1 victory over Swieqi.

With this win, Balzan main-tained their perfect record after four games.

Four goals by Jovica Milijic and a hat-trick each for Marc Areny Albert and Emil Raducu paved the way for Balzan’s emphatic victory at the Corradino Pavilion.

Simon Gingell Littlejohn scored Swieqi’s solitary goal.

Title seekers Luxol also won by a massive margin after a 14-1 rout of mid-table side Qormi.

William Barbosa scored a hat-trick for the winners as Carl Saliba helped himself to a double.

Florin Anton, Noel Bray, Ibrahim Tarik and Paul Bugeja were also among the scorers for Luxol.

In an exciting match, Vittoriosa beat Żurrieq 6-5 to obtain their first win of the season.

Luqa also managed to bag their first points after cruising to a 7-2 win over Birżebbuġa.

Three goals from Andrew Scerri, two by Michael Galea and one goal for Justin Muscat and Stephen Aquilina sealed the issue for Luqa.

Noel Tabone and Aaron Dalli were on target for Birżebbuġa who have now conceded a third consecutive defeat.

Meanwhile, Melita obtained their third win of the campaign after hammering Mosta 9-2.

This was the third consecutive defeat for the Blues.

Mosta’s task was hampered by own goals from George Douglas Saliba, Darryl Schembri and Matthew Caruana. Bojan Minic scored a brace for Melita while Nikola Petrovic, Kaene Cassar Degabriele, Jerome Mamo and Michael Martin got the other goals.

Mosta’s scorers were Matthew Borg and George Douglas Saliba.

In the First Division league, Mqabba and Naxxar Lions shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw while Sirens earned their first win of the season at the expense of Fgura, 9-5.

Gżira returned to winning ways after thrashing Sta Luċija 8-0.

Alessio Restuccia, Charlo Debattista and Leo Brincat were each twice on the mark for the winners who also had Aurelio Burgio and Douglas Mifsud among the scorers.

The Maroons returned to the top of the table with 18 points, two more than Qrendi who beat Msida 6-2.

Kalkara handed out a 5-0 defeat to Valletta to register their second win of the season.
