Week 11 of the MSV Life National League saw a titanic clash between Fina and Ramis, with the latter stealing all eight points in the high-scoring thriller, while okmalta.com re-tained their 10-point lead with their own full-point victory over the J. Grima & Co team.

Bowlers on Strike cruised to a 6-2 win over St James Hospital as did Rogantino’s against Turu’s Knights and The Clan who picked up a six-point win at the expense of last-placed, Bank of Valletta.

Third-placed Fina rolled the second highest team series of the week with 2,482 pins but incredibly, lost their match 8-0 against second-placed Ramis. They were the only team to score higher with a huge 2,684 total.

The competitive sparks were flying between the two teams from the offset, Ramis winning the thrilling first game by just six pins (865-871), before going two up with a massive 828-943 win in game two, which featured an impressive 279 from youngster Philip Gruppetta.

That gave Ramis a 121-advantage going into game three, which they also won in style, 789- 870, for their impressive victory.

The league leaders took the early advantage with ease, securing the opener 663-783, before doubling up with a closer 764-780 win in game two.

The defending champions saved their best till last, taking game three 634-859 to complete the whitewash and remain in control of the league.
