Qormi officially wrote its name on the Guinness World Records book yesterday for producing the largest wine glass in the world capable of holding more than 4,000 litres. The monster wine glass was unveiled in April and was officially recognised yesterday with a Guinness World Record certificate. The glass, made of Perspex, stands 12 feet eight inches high and six feet eight inches at its widest point. It was built by the Kumitat Festi Esterni San Ġorġ Martri. Last year, Qormi beat Brazil’s record with a nine-and-a-half foot long, 17-inch high bread loaf.
