Qormi’s annual wine festival will take place on Saturday and next Sunday, with a wide selection of wines produced by Marsovin to sample.

Wine and traditional food stands will be set up in Main Street, with St George’s parish church providing the backdrop.

Local artistes and groups will be performing on three stages in the festival area. These include Maestro Paul Abela and band, Mro Joe Brown, and DJ Ruby, who will be performing an exclusive chill-out set especially prepared for the event.

Those in attendance can purchase a custom-made wine glass bearing the Qormi Wine Festival logo for €10. They will then be entitled to sample unlimited wine from the festivals stalls in this glass.

Entrance to the wine festival is free of charge. Wine will only be served to those over 17 years of age, but organisers said children are welcome to attend and non-alcoholic beverages will be on sale.

The festival will be open from 8 p.m. till midnight, with last wine-servings at 11.30 p.m.
