Puma racing’s crew assess the damage after the mast broke in the South Atlantic on Monday. The US Volvo Ocean challenger suffered a blow when it lost its mast though happily all its 11-crew were declared safe and sound. Puma, captained by Ken Read, was in second place behind Spanish rival Telefonica some 2,150 miles from the first stage finishing line in Cape Town when disaster struck.
